This week had it's ups and
downs. Saturday and Sunday I had a 103 degree fever so I
was pretty much out of order. I still haven't eaten anything in like three
days because my tummy just isn't feeling it. However, I am feeling much better
today. I have gotten some good rest......like more than I have
my entire life at one time hehe, and people have been
so kind to offer anything thing that I might need. I never get sick so
this was quite the experiences haha. It has been
going around big time so it doesn't
really surprise me but I was hoping that I might be able to avoid it.
I just felt bad not being able to do much for two days and I really don't want
to get anyone else sick so I have been keeping my distance. This week was a bit
slow too as far as lessons go but we are so grateful that we have had
the few lessons that we did get . This area used to be completely dead.
Like, there was nothing here, but over the last 8-ish months it finally started
to move forward. It is like a roller coaster from week to week.
Some weeks we get a ton of lessons and others we get hardly any.
We really need to find new investigators so we have been focusing our
efforts on finding lately. The Holidays take up so much of everyone's time too,
so that doesn't really help. Speaking of, the church
just launched a new campaign called He is the Gift.
It will have a billboard in Time Square, several commercials on
Youtube and all of the missionaries around the world have been asked to
give out 10 of the special cards each day until Christmas. I'm excited to see
what it brings. Just think, 88 thousand missionaries times
ten cards every day for 28 days! that is huge! You should
go watch the video too. It is so good and only 3 minuets.
Ya know, I thought that the Holidays
away from home would be a lot harder for me. I'm not saying that being away
from home is easy or that I don't miss you all, but it has been cool spending
the Holidays completely devoted to something other than yourself. All of those
little things that used to mean so much to me don't really matter that much any
more. It really has been a cool, once in a lifetimes experience.
Thanksgiving was great. We had it
with the Buckwalter's and some of their family. After dinner we played some fun
games and then it was back to proselyting as usual. Since almost
nobody wants to be bothered on Thanksgiving, we made a whole bunch of cookies
and cards and delivered them to all of our investigators and less actives. I
heard someone say this week "If you woke up in the morning with nothing
other than what you thanked God for the night before, what would you
have?" I thought that that was pretty thought provoking, eh? I would
encourage each of you to dedicate one prayer this week to only giving thanks.
You will be amazed about just how much you have to be thankful for.
Well, I love you all so much! I'm
so grateful to have such a wonderful family that loves and
supports me. Good luck with everything!
Love ya lots,
Sister Prows
