This week has been pretty ordinary,
although we did meet an awesome family. The Bosvelds! They are less actives who
would be active if they could but man I love them to death. She just finished
her doctorate in nursing and she is taking a homeopathic course and
as you would have guessed I had the most amazing talk with her about health.
She encouraged me to pursue becoming a naturopath and let’s just say I left
very inspired. Oh, you all would be proud of me-I lift weights every other day
and cardio in between so hopefully that will make up for the dessert that
people feed us every night, I can totally see how people get so into working
out! I actually really enjoy it now and I feel so good after I do. So if anyone
is ever wondering what to get me for a present just send me a workout video
haha. On Thursday also we went on a hike for our
morning exercise and got to see some of the sunrise. It was
so pretty. The more I am here in Diamond Bar the more I think I appreciate the
amazing views.
My comp's days are coming to an end.
Our apartment looks like a tornado went by haha but we are getting everything
done okay. I think that this next week will be pretty weird for both
of us. I just hope that I get to stay in my area! I don't want to leave everything
but at the same time I'm ready to see what other areas bring. I think that it
would be pretty awesome to go to the desert or the mountains but it's cold
there so maybe not haha. Who knows.
This last week we had stake
conference. It was awesome to say the least. They talked a whole heep about
missionary work and I even got quoted someone from our ward that spoke!
"no effort is wasted" It's true. The stake pres
talked about how our success isn't in whether or not people accept the gospel
but rather in the inviting. People think that their friends have to be totally
prepared to hear the gospel before they will ever share anything, but really,
it is all about planting and nourishing seeds every chance we get. They
may not be ready now but your influence will last in their hearts. Man, I
wished that I would have known everything I know now like 10 years ago. I would
have done things a lot different. I was always scared to share things but you
don't have to teach the first discussion to be a missionary to your friend. So
get on it people! Go do great things and wait to see the blessing because man
they are many. Oh, Miguel also came to it too!!! He was so happy and totally on
a spiritual high. It was awesome to see someone remember their testimony. You
could see the joy in his face. Man he even came despite having to
work construction all night. I was happy to say the least.
lOVE YA LOTS,
Sister Prows
