So my Prep day was switched from
Monday to today because we had a Temple trip today so sorry for the delay. I
loved it so much though! It was just the break I needed and it was nice to get
out of my area for a while. I forgot how amazing it feels to be in the Temple.
The Sister who drove us also took us out to Lunch at a cute French restaurant
too so that was nice. She is from Holland so we made plans to meet each other
there after the mission is over haha.
The last couple of weeks have been some of my toughest yet.
Our recent convert Guillermo told us that he was basically done with the church
for now. It absolutely broke my heart! He said that he wasn't done
personally quite yet but said to just give him time to sort out his thoughts.
He stopped coming to church and kept canceling lessons and whenever we dropped
by we sensed that something was bothering him, but we never expected anything like
that. He also told us that his family wasn't really interested in investigating
anymore which only added to the heart break. It's been hard for me but I know
that it will all be okay. Everybody goes through a testing period after they
are baptized. They can either learn to rely on the Lord and build and refine
their testimony or let it bring them down and quit. I still have hope though. I
haven't given up on him yet. He still loves us and knows how much the gospel
has helped him to be the dad that he has always wanted to be and that he came
so much closer to his Heavenly Father, but it was hard right now. So keep them
in your prayers. Rose and Richard are now going to Calvary Chapel so they
aren't very interested any more either, but still like having us come and
teach. We have a lesson and lunch with them on the 3rd so we might have to drop
them as well. It is just all starting to pile up it seems.....that, and I got a
cold haha. However, God has blessed us so much with other things. Tera's date
had to be moved to tomorrow but we are SO excited for her. She has just lit up
this last week and absolutely loves the gospel. She is really excited to see
have her family and friends come see her be baptized, especially her son. It's
amazing how everything is just working out-timing, people, the whole shabang.
We also exceeded our goals for last week for the first time ever! So yes there
is good to everything but also opposition in all things. Everything always
turns out in the end. I have definitely recieved so much strength and help
beyond my own to deal with things and I know that the Lord will continue to
bless us as we do our best.
My Prep day is only in a couple of days again so I'll finish
some of my stories then. Know that I love you all so stinken much. Let me know
if I can ever help with anything okay.
Love ya lots,
Sister Prows
