Hope everything is going good for
ya'll. Training is going good so far. I'm not dead yet so that should count for
something haha. My new Comp's name is Sister Seymour from Indiana. She is a
cutie pie and we have a lot of things in common. It's been weird how many old
feeling and memories have been coming back from when I was being trained. At
the training meeting I was probably just as nervous as she was haha. It wasn't
until this whole process started that I began to realize just how far I've come
and just how much I really have learned while I've been out. Change is slow and
hard sometimes but I'm so grateful for it. My mission has been such a blessing.
So I have officially been away
from home for 6 months! How crazy is that? It seems like not that long ago but
going through all of the days it seems like way longer. I'm one third of the
way done with my mission now. So weird! Also, because I'm training I will
probably stay in this same area for the next three months which will mean that
I will be here in Diamond Bar for half of my mission! I was warned that I would
be banned in Chino haha.
This week was filled with many
miracles. I was with Sister Cromwell from Sunday to Wednesday until I got my
new comp and man oh man, we had so many awesome conversations. Everything that
we talked about was exactly what I need to hear and and helped me to feel so
much more at peace about it all. God works is mysterious ways and my testimony
of that was really strengthened for those few days. I've felt a lot of peace
about things and He has helped me to understand that it will all be okay. I'm
getting to the point where I can honestly say that I really love my mission. It
hasn't been in the way I expected either. It's not that it has been super fun
all of the time but rather because I have seen just how amazing the gospel is
and I love being apart of that. The people here are so inspiring and I love
getting to know them. They definitely aren't perfect but they try their hardest
each and every day. I get to see how God works in each of their lives. How
awesome is that? At the same time, it can be really hard and tiring but oh so
worth it. "Salvation was never an easy task" as Pres Holland would
say, but that doesn't mean that you can't learn to love the process. I
challenge each of you who read this email to bring up the gospel in at least
one of your conversations this week and see how it goes. You never know who you
might help and what you might help inspire. DO IT! It will be so awesome.
So I heard that everyone is going to
Sarah's for Thanksgiving. Fun! Hope that everything goes good. I also heard
about little Marlee's blessing and your food poisoning fiasco haha. Got to
experience the bad to know the good eh haha. I know how you all felt if it
makes you feel any better. Remember when I threw up in the LAX airport on our
way to Australia and was sick the whole time hehe. Good times. Send me pics of
Thanksgiving okay! Btw it is like 90 degrees here haha. It's like the warmest
Thanksgiving I've ever had.
Okay, so I have decided that for
Christmas I don't want anything. Instead, I want you to spend the money and
time that you would have spent on me and give it to someone that needs it more
than me. So start thinking of service projects or doorbell ditches or someone
that you can help and then on Christmas you can send me an email(and pics, of
course) telling me what you did and how you felt. I know it probably sounds a
little cheezy but I am so serious. So start getting those creative juices
going, emkay.
Well, I love you all so much. Don't
forget to count your blessings every day and I promise that you will start to
realize just how blessed we really are. President Utchdorf gave an awesome talk
entitled Grateful in any Circumstance last conference. It is amazing and
I would encourage you all to read it. Let me know if anyone ever needs any
prayers!
Love ya lots,
Sister Prows
