We Got a Baptism!

This week has been going pretty good for us. Tera was Baptized last Saturday as planned. It was amazing! She glowed and loved every minute of it. We were just glad that she didn't go into labor before we could get her dunked haha. All of her family and friends came and everything so she was so excited for that. It really was the best baptism I've ever been to and not only because it was my first convert baptism on my mission. The Spirit was so strong and her family was really touched by it all. It was just an amazing day. My comp even had another baptism right before it in Rancho that we got to go to so it was a double wammy. Her and I are staying together for this next transfer. We are both pretty excited about it. It has been really cool to see how literally all of her mission dreams and goals have come true while we have been together. Her investigator from the desert that she worked so hard with is finally getting baptized in a couple of weeks so we get to go to that too. She only has one transfer left before she "dies" She is from North Idaho by Cordilain and she goes home November 17th so she gets to go back to the freezing weather keke. Speaking of, it has been super hot here and we are in October. Ya know when you first open up the oven and this huge burst of hot air hits your face? That's pretty much how it feels when you walk outside haha. We are in a major drought so everything is starting to die. The usually green hills are dead:(

But, anywho. Life is good. We had a slow week but had some good lessons too. Last Saturday we also got a new investigator that is solid. A member had us teach her in her home because they have been best buddies for like 10 years and she finally said that she would listen to the missionaries! She is what we like to call a "dry mormon" which basically means that she lives all of the standards she just hasn't been baptized.......yet ;)

I love my area too. By the time I this transfer ends I would have spent 1/3 of my mission in Diamond Bar!  Time is going by so fast and it's starting to scare me haha.

Funny story-so I have a red loofa thing for the shower and I had the brilliant idea to wash it a couple of days ago. Well, after I washed it I never realized that I put it in the dryer and of course it melted and stuck to the side vent thingy and scared the living daylights out of the sister that we lived with when she opened the dryer because it looked like a big bloody heart stuck on her inside dryer wall. She had no idea what it was, so when she saw us that night she tried to describe it but we had no idea what in the world she was talking about. When we finally got home we opened it up and had the same reaction haha. We quickly figured out what it was though and it peeled right off. We took some pictures with it and then decided that we needed to stick it to the Elders car which we did the next day. Except they thought that someone threw a tomato at the car haha. FAIL. We got a good kick out of it though haha.

How did everyone like conference!? Pretty great eh? I like how they kept talking about being responsible, following the prophet and gaining your own testimony through diligent effort. I encourage each of you to go back and read them all again. it will be so worth it.
We also got to see Meet the Mormons on Wednesday! it was such a good movie. The missionaries all got to see it before it opens in theaters on the 10th. You should all go see it. The people it shows are pretty stinken cool and it was really funny.

Well I gots to go now. My time is up. I must bid thee farewell. Have an awesome week everybody.
Love ya lots,
Sister Prows
